Norlys is Denmark’s largest integrated energy and telecommunications group, delivering broadband, TV, mobile services, electricity and charging stations to both private customers and businesses. Now Norlys has a sonic identity, created by Unmute in parallel with a visual rebrand and developed to live across the entire customer journey.
A source for light and positive change
Norlys wanted an auditory expression with drive, optimism and a sense of community - and to amplify the story of Norlys being a source for light and positive change. That's why the sonic logo is built on the Lydian scale, a musical mode known for its brightness and sense of lift. Unlike the major scale, Lydian adds a raised fourth as a small shift creating a feeling of openness, light and forward motion.
The supporting music is hand-played and intentionally organic, reflecting Norlys’ people-centred and community-driven outlook. The texture is warm rather than glossy, crafted rather than polished. The new sonic identity is being rolled out across multiple touchpoints to create a coherent sensory experience - one where Norlys becomes recognizable even when the screen is off.
