When Arla, the 5th largest dairy producer in the world, looked for a unifying sonic logo to go across markets, cultural differences and all sub brands they wanted a sound that could express their Scandinavian heritage and Nordic roots in an authentic way.

Conveying Scandinavian heritage through sound
We came up with a sound identity concept that took inspiration from a unique herding call, called Kulning, traditionally sung by female herders to call the cows home. Who other than Arla could own that sound?
The sonic concept was tested across 7 markets to make sure that the right balance was found – and the Arla Sound Identity is now rolled out globally to accompany the logo animation and end all their TV-commercials and film content.
